What is it?
The Service Coordination Program is for the provision of a Service Coordinator to coordinate supportive services and other activities designed to help Public Housing residents attain economic and housing self-sufficiency. Services are available in the Brentwood, Brooklyn, Cherry Hill, Douglass, Perkins, Gilmor, Latrobe, Westport, Allendale, J. Van Story Branch Senior Apartments, Lakeview Towers, Monument East, O'Donnell Heights and Wyman House public housing communities. Some of the available services include referrals for job training, financial literacy, wellness programs, basic education, career advancement and other supportive services for long-term economic self-sufficiency.
Who is eligible?
The services are open to residents of Baltimore City public housing communities.
What are the benefits?
These services enable participating families to increase earned income, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, make progress toward achieving economic independence and housing sufficiency, or, in the case of elderly or disabled residents, help improve living conditions and enable residents to age-in-place.
How much does it cost?
Services are free to eligible Public Housing Residents.
