Apprenticeship and Customized Training (ACT)

What is it?

The Apprenticeship and Customized Training program offers residents unique opportunities at starting new careers through training and job placement. This would include: Step-Up Program - a one-year training program in partnership with HABCo Construction Services providing hands-on training skills. Residents participate in building and rehabilitation on local construction projects, preparing them for future jobs in construction. Training is provided on-the-job within various housing developments.

Who is eligible?

Residents of Baltimore Public and Housing Choice Voucher Program holders.

What are the benefits?

Residents receive training specific to future job requirements and often receive instruction while employed.

How much does it cost?

Services are at no cost to eligible residents.
