Baltimore City Head Start

The Baltimore City Head Start Program is a federally funded pre- school family development pro- gram that provides comprehensive early intervention services to low- income children and their families.

The Baltimore City Head Start Program is administered through the grantee office of the Baltimore Housing. Baltimore City has 17 Head Start programs operated by 14 delegate agencies. The Head Start Program for 3-5 year olds serves over 3400 children. Early Head Start, which serves pregnant women and kids up to 3 years old, serves over 200 throughout the City.
