The Ombudsman's nine-person staff is on duty 24/7, 365 days a year.
Their responsibilities include settling disputes, evacuating buildings
in the case of an emergency, and relocating residents in harm's way.
The Ombudsman's Office helps individuals and families displaced by housing and weather-related emergencies. They also coordinate the efforts of emergency responders including
the Fire Department, Police, Public Works and the Health Department.
