City of Baltimore e-Plans Review System
In 2011, the City of Baltimore's Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) was awarded an Innovation Grant to develop an electronic plans review system (e-Plans) to expedite and improve the review of full-size construction documents and/or plans associated with Building Permit Applications*
Starting on June 1st, 2012, all plans/documents will be accepted and reviewed electronically.
Submitting Plans/Documents for Electronic Review:
For Building Permit Applications that can be reviewed electronically, customers will have two options for submitting their application and plans to the Plans Examining Office for review:
1. Submit Building Permit applications online. After the application has been reviewed customers will receive secure access via email to pay the permit application fee and to upload plans/documents into the e-Plans review system.
OR
2. Come to the One Stop Shop, 417 E. Fayette Street, Room 100 where the permit staff will help customers complete the online application. Once the application is reviewed you will receive secure access via email to pay the permit application fee and to upload plans/documents into the e-Plans review system.
